Campground Review: New River Campground, Gauley Bridge, West Virginia

This campground's greatest asset and biggest drawback is its location.

Campground Review: Elkhorn Campground, Frankfort, Kentucky

Conveniently located near several bourbon distilleries, this was one of the nicest commercial campgrounds we've stayed at recently.

Campground Review: Grand Ole RV Resort, Nashville, TN

In all likelihood we would have been pretty ambivalent about this campground if not for the standout customer service. It's amazing what a difference friendly, helpful staff can make.

Campground Review: Graceland RV Park, Memphis, Texas

This is a typical commercial parking lot type campground that is extremely convenient, but pretty depressing.

Campground Review: Lake Catherine State Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas

This is a pretty, lakeside state park ideally located about twenty minutes from downtown Hot Springs.

Campground Review: Atlanta State Park, Atlanta, Texas

We absolutely LOVED this park. It was beautiful, private, quiet, and dirt cheap. If we could have stayed here for a week or even more, we would have.

Campground Review: Cedar Hill State Park, Dallas, Texas

This campground has a ton of potential but unfortunately, so much of it is unavailable because of flood damage, it was a bit disappointing. As a base for exploring Dallas, it's quite convenient, but it really could be a destination campground if they would repair the storm damage.

Campground Review: McKinney Falls State Park, Austin, Texas

This is a really beautiful park in an incredible location with one major downfall. As much as we loved it and enjoyed our stay, we'd have to attach a cautionary red flag for anyone planning to stay there in a big rig.

Campground Review: Riverwalk RV Park, San Antonio, Texas

This commercial RV park doesn't look like much, but it has some really nice amenities, and it provides excellent access to downtown San Antonio.

Campground Review: Thousand Trails Colorado River, Columbus, Texas

This is a very beautiful, well maintained, Thousand Trails campground. We stopped here because it was along our route, so it was just a stopover, but we really enjoyed the park.
