When I started writing this blog, I intended it to be a fun way to document our travels and maybe help folks who were thinking about making a similar change.

We were knocking things off our to-do list, spending time with friends and family, and having fun sightseeing. That's when disaster struck and derailed our plans.

Apologies for the blog silence recently (I know it's kept you up at night...)  It turns out, blowing your life up is extremely time consuming!

As we continue to sort, toss, donate and pack our belongings, the reality of moving out of our house looms large.

Kevin installed the GEICO app on his phone since they are now insuring the RV. I have spent hours imagining how much fun this app must be.

Some of our goals with this project are to go places we've never been, meet people we wouldn't otherwise meet, and learn more about our vast and varied country.

Not surprisingly, the last couple of weeks have been pretty intense. Exciting. Surreal. Exhausting.... All good words to describe how this whole process feels.

The good news is a lot of our friends and family are reading this blog. The bad news is ya'll have a lot of questions that we haven't answered.

Over and over again we've been told that RVers are incredibly friendly and helpful. We learned that to be true this week.

Seriously... What is wrong with you? Why are you so weird?? Why are you so rude?
