Our Site #: 7

Privacy Rating (how spacious and private do the sites feel):

3.5/5: Like most commercial parks, campsites here are right next to one another, but they are on a diagonal and there was enough space between sites to not feel like we were right on top of anyone. We were also fortunate to be here during the offseason, so there were very few RVs in the park and the front desk person kept people spaced out. Overall, this is a pretty standard commercial park from a privacy standpoint.

Location Rating (accessibility to points of interest or to major highways):

5/5: This is a really good location, right in Wall, South Dakota. You can drive right into Badlands National Park from the town, and you are only about 15 minutes down the road from Minuteman Missile Museum. The campground is located within walking distance of famous Wall Drug, and it's right off I-90, the main thoroughfare through the region.

Site Quality and Big Rig Accessibility Rating (utilities and accessibility of campground hook ups):

4/5: Sites were gravel/dirt and mostly level. Some had big divots, but ours was ok. Big rig accessibility was fine with decent roads and all pull-through sites.

Technology and Customer Service Rating (online resources, reservations, and staff):

4/5: We had to call for reservations after they failed to respond to our online request, but it was no big deal. Check-in was quick and friendly. We appreciated that they kept people spaced out rather than stacking everyone on top of each other.

Internet Availability Rating (Verizon coverage or campground wifi):

4/5: Wifi was decent and AT&T hotspot worked well.

Summary:

Overall, we liked this place. It was large, green, and sites were easy to get in and out of. They had a nice fenced in area for dogs to play and a small pond to walk around. Trees ring the perimeter of the campground and there is farmland in the distance. There weren't many guests while we were there and the front desk was nice enough to space guests out so no one felt crowded. The location was perfect for us to see everything we wanted to see. We'd definitely stay here again.
