Introduction:

This was a pretty pricey campground given its location. While it wasn't a bad spot, in the future, we would probably opt for the closer-in Trailer Ranch Campground instead.

Our Site #: 20

Privacy Rating (how spacious and private do the sites feel):

3.5/5: We asked for and received a site in the older section which offers sites that are a bit less "parking lot like" than the newer section. Our site was a back-in that was located right near the walking trail that surrounds the campground. We had decent site separation from our neighbors on both sides and we enjoyed the large grassy area behind our site. If privacy is a concern, I would definitely suggest seeking a site in the older section. The newer section is much more standard commercial parking. The site spacing isn't terrible, but it's not great either.

Location Rating (accessibility to points of interest or to major highways):

3/5: The location here was ok. It's basically located on the outskirts of the city. It took us about 20 to 30 minutes to get downtown - depending on exactly where we were going and time of day. It wasn't bad, but Trailer Ranch is much closer in. Otherwise, the location is good. It's located right off Interstate 25 and within easy reach of any necessary conveniences.

Site Quality and Big Rig Accessibility Rating (utilities and accessibility of campground hook ups):

3.5/5: Sites were mostly dirt/gravel. Ours was pretty sloped, but we were able to get level without blocks. The newer section seemed to have more level sites. Accessibility was fine with wide roads and pretty easy access. Our water connection was initially difficult to connect to, but Kevin was able to make it work.

Technology and Customer Service Rating (online resources, reservations, and staff):

5/5: You can request your site online and they will email you a confirmation. I made several changes to our reservation as we got closer and everyone we dealt with was very friendly and easy to work with. I appreciated that we did not have to put a deposit down and they honored our request for a site in the older section. We also filled up with propane here, which was easy and convenient.

Internet Availability Rating (Verizon coverage or campground wifi):

5/5: Campground wifi was fast and reliable and AT&T was strong.

Summary:

Overall, this was a good park for visiting Santa Fe. If it was cheaper, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, but like everything in Santa Fe, the price was high. In the end, we thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was.
