Campground website: Jim & Mary's RV Park

Our Site #: E6

Privacy Rating (how spacious and private do the sites feel):

4.0/5: While RV sites are lined up next to one another, there is decent site separation and there are plenty of trees throughout the campground. We sat out at our site many nights and never felt like we were right on top of our neighbors. For a commercial campground, the level of privacy was really good.

Location Rating (accessibility to points of interest or to major highways):

4.25/5: Jim & Mary's is located about 15 minutes from the center of Missoula. Between the campground and the downtown area, one can find anything one needs - from Costco to Albertsons to Target to Petsmart. The park is located right off US-93 and just down the way from I-90, so it's extremely convenient if you're traveling through Montana. The park backs to a residential neighborhood, so plenty of additional places to walk the pup if you want to get out of the campground.

Site Quality and Big Rig Accessibility Rating (utilities and accessibility of campground hook ups):

4.50/5: Site quality was very good. Our spot was level and our utilities worked well. Some sites are a bit sloped, but nothing terrible. The park is compact, but easy to navigate with wide-enough roads and appropriately trimmed back trees.

Technology and Customer Service Rating (online resources, reservations, campground wifi, and staff):

5.0/5: You can make an online request for a reservation and they will email or call you to confirm. I emailed back and forth with them several times when I needed to change our dates and they were very pleasant. The required deposit is only $10 which was nice. They texted us with our campsite info and a map the day before our visit to keep contact to a minimum. Additionally, they were willing to accept packages, their campground Wifi was pretty solid and every employee we interacted with was friendly.

Overall Value Rating (the overall value of the campground; was it overpriced for what it was?):

4.0/5: Like every campground these days, prices are going up, up, up. $50 a night for any campsite is rough, but at least we felt like we could really use our site and enjoy it. The campground is full of flowers and pretty landscaping and the place just has a nice feel. Plus, it's located just 15 minutes down the road from the center of Missoula. All things being equal, we felt the value was pretty good here.

Summary:

We really enjoyed our stay at Jim & Mary's. The park is one of the most well maintained commercial campgrounds we've stayed at, it's convenient to downtown Missoula, and everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. While it's not cheap, nothing is these days and at least this place feels like a reasonable value. Highly recommend.
