Introduction:

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful, green state park located right on the ocean and very close to the cute downtown area of Bandon, Oregon.

The Basics:

Overall Rating: 4.4/5

Price per night / Discounts: $30 / None

Campground website: Bullards Beach State Park

Our Site #: A-33

Privacy Rating (how spacious and private do the sites feel):

5/5: We loved our site. It was large, surrounded by big trees and bushes, and offered a nice sitting area and fire pit. We spent a lot of time outdoors at this park and really enjoyed the site.

Location Rating (accessibility to points of interest or to major highways):

4.5/5: This park is located just about 10 minutes down the road from the old town area of Bandon. The park is right near the beach, though, to walk or bike to it, would take a few minutes. The park is located right on 101, so very convenient if you're traveling down the Oregon coast.

Site Quality and Big Rig Accessibility Rating (utilities and accessibility of campground hook ups):

4.5/5: Sites were mostly level, though some were not great. The park only offers water/electric, but there are helpful gray water dump stations throughout the park, so if you have a plastic bin you can put in your sink, you can collect your dish water and dump it at the stations, saving precious gray tank space.

Technology and Customer Service Rating (online resources, reservations, and staff):

4/5: We booked our site through Reserve America which was great. No problems at check in. Really friendly and helpful camp hosts.

Internet Availability Rating (Verizon coverage or campground wifi):

4/5: Our AT&T hot spot worked well. No wifi.

Summary:

We very much enjoyed our stay at this park. Our site was very large and surrounded by trees and greenery, giving us a lot of space to hang out outside, without feeling like we were staring at our neighbors. The town of Bandon is super cute and has a lot to offer. The beach is close by, as is the historic lighthouse. Overall, we were very happy with this state park.
