What do you think of when you think of Idaho?

So when we left off, our visit to Colorado was off to a splendid start - all beautiful scenery and fun times with good friends.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times....

Page, Arizona is home to the eye-popping Horseshoe Bend, the absolutely gorgeous Lake Powell, and some of the most awe-inspiring slot canyons in the world. It is also home to about ten trillion tourists.

You know how people like to say a place "took their breath away"? Well, apparently, that's a real thing. Indeed, it's what happened to us each and every time we walked up to the canyon rim and looked over the edge.

Known alternatively as the filming location for some of Hollywood's most iconic western movies and the current home of thousands of formerly homeless animals, this is a little town with an oversized impact.

According to National Geographic, Zion is the third most popular National Park in the country.

Our ultimate goal was a swing through southern Utah but we needed to break the trip up, so we stopped at some non-traditional overnight accommodations, enjoyed an awesome campground, and visited one must-see site.
